Briefly summarize what you learned about effective health promotion from Chapter 6. What are important strategies for reaching multicultural communities?

Health promotion is very necessary to make community healthy. Before knowing this we should first know that what actually health is so according to who the state of complete physical,social and mental well beings is considered as healthy. Not only absence of disease is health. Effective health promotion includes promotion of new drugs ,prevention of disease , teaching about risk factors and advise to avoid them. We have seen that how important is health promotion. Now we will see how one can reach multicultural communities and strategies for going there and teach about health promotion. Some of important strategies used are as follows :- 1) Through media : it includes television adds , any special instructions to community, newspaper, publishing of health pamplets. 2) Direct contact of medical professional , medical care providers and paramedics to community to teach and encourage people's about there Health and techniques they can use to maintain health. 3)Routine camps 4) Media exposure 5) Group discussions 6)Routine health check-up camps 7) Teach community people's about early signs of any dangerous disease and instructions to report to higher medical authority for treatment.
