In my opinion, social media is one of the best platform for Communicating Effectively with Patient and general population. I am saying this because as we all know in today's world Social media has become the most popular and effective instrument for people to stay connected, interact and get to know what is going around in the world. As the time passes, it is very likely that these media sites are going to evolve and transform into a more pervasive method of reaching out to patients and hence providing an upper hand to healthcare professionals in effectively communication with their patients. We know that today's generation rely heavily on online information for almost of their information requirements. Through social media healthcare professionals can connect with their patients, provide information about other providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, review, assess, market, support and care. In fact, providers can even share the smallest of information about flu and cold to big matters like health hazards and pandemic outbreak in a short period of time to a big number of people. They can also share update about new advanced technologies, answer to people's health related issues and concern, educate patient with information on generic pre- and post- operative care and even train other medical personal. In short, with effective social media handling strategies and techniques, there are "n" number of possibilities for healthcare professionals to communicating effectively with patients.
