I need to write an op ed essay on topic: Should we elect a leader based on their morals or solely on their ability to lead ? Integrity VS Ability. Please help.

In Brief a nurse should perform their job responsibility very effectively with their knowledge in the field in combination with compassion, sympathy to each patient and treat the patient and their family members with dignity as well. Further communicating with the relatives of the patients in a very effective way with regard to the health status of their family members. Hence, to be a leader in the field of nursing profession apart from the ability to handle a situation, the moral value/ integrity are very much needed in this field. Hence the essay structure should be framed as per the following steps.

Step 1: Brief about the word ‘integrity’ and the ‘ability’ first and why nursing profession needs both of it.

Step 2: How to care the patient with respect to both the above mentioned word.

Step 3: Note what ethical aspects must be taken care of while caring the health of a patient.

Step 4: Brief about the concept of the word ‘dignity’ of a patient and how a nurse should maintain this.

Step 5: How to maintain confidentiality for a particular patient.

Step 6: Focus on the requirement of knowledge that needs to handle difficult situation in day to day basis.

Step 7: Mention the behavioural aspect of the nurse towards the family members of the patient

Step 8: Conclude the essay by establishing the need of the both characteristics including ‘ability’ and ‘integrity’ to be a good leader in nursing profession.
