Absolutely not,we have to understand that one of the strong fundamentals of democracy is that every one gets a fair shot and we are long way away from it given the mismatch in money power and at the same time if we are not even aware of source,it becomes even more non transparent and dangerous,dangerous in the sense that without disclosing source,it is possible that donations are being made for quid pro quo and people are not even aware of it,these social welfare organizations can become an easy way of such activities and hence these should not be allowed to shadow campaigning if they don't disclose their donors.Now coming to second part of this part of question,as stated above any citizen who wants to improve the fundamental nature of democracy ans see more transparency and fair chance irrespective of wealth would and should support efforts to reform campaign finance system,in fact any such efforts would automatically increase public participation and will lead to a stronger politics.
2. The answers to both parts of this part of the question is yes ,when we look at all the ads,we should be aware who is behind this,what if the donor is someone who wants to destroy a natural place for some commercial activity,would you support such a candidate,maybe,maybe not but the decision should be for individual but concealing such information is giving route to lies and politics controlled by vested interests,in case of Super PACs not able to find the source they must not take such donation not just for sake of being ethical but also for sake of avoiding a public embarrasment for candidate,party and country,the whole idea of not disclosing the source or top sponsors gives birth to ambiguity which in turn is a way to decieve voters,would we want such a democracy where a candidate is funded by vested interests,the answer has to be no if we want a stronger democracy.
3. Norquist pledge is a taxpayer protection pledge for American people created by Republican Grover Norquist in year 1986 which states that all republican candidates have to pledge that they will oppose any efforts to increase marginal income tax rates for businesses and individuals and will oppose any net reduction of deduction benefits unless they are compensated by further lowering taxes.Pledge has been part of image of Republican party ,their image ,their policies reflect this pledge at times,take for example last election of 2016,where republican candidate Mr. Donald Trump continuosly supported tax reductions and no increase in taxes,at times this pledge has make republican party seems more of a free market and entrepreneurial 's champion,this pledge thus can be said to a important guiding principle in republican policies and their promises.
