to nurse that he was not sure if a piece of the Q-tip had gotten stuck in his right ear. Blood came oozing from his right ear and stated it was hard for him to hear. can someone the following questions:

What other information is important to ask the patient.?

What type of nursing interventions will the nurse suggest for the patient.?

What type of medication will he need?

What education will you provide to him regarding cleaning his ears?

1) Ask whether he had any head injury or falls

*Ask for any inner ear infections and headache

-Check for any colour changes in the blood .

2) Check the vital signs of the patient mainly BP . Stop bleeding do not give over pressure .

*Provide positioning for the patient in elevate the head . * Maintain the hygiene of the ear . * Monitoring hearing loss asses hearing ability frequently.

*Nursing Diagnosis*

▪Impaired verbal communication related to effect of hearing loss

▪Disturbed sensory perception related to obstruction of Q-tip in ear

▪Anxiety Related to Health status

3) If pain is present use analgesics like acetaminophen.

And ciplox ear drops is given . If the gait problem present Give Vertin 8 mg SOS .

4) Clean your ears with extra care wipe the outer ear with a wash cloth . Do not put anything into your ear . Do not use Q-tip ,Bobby pins or sharp objects to clean your ears. These objects may cause injury to the ear canal and ear drum

▪Earwax is the mechanism for self cleaning. If you have a build up of wax that is blocking your hearing see your doctor first .

▪If you have pierced ears , clean your earrings and earlobes regularly with rubbing alcohol.
