neanderthals and early modern homi sapiens.

Solutions

Expert Solution

The Neanderthal skulls, it has been observed that child skeletons would be showing that the the Neanderthal children grew slowly like the human children. Also, the age of the juvenile could be estimated through the jawbone in the Neanderthals, just like modern humans. In human evolution, development of teeth or dental anatomy was a major evolution. This helps in establishment of chronological age through days, years or moths or even the exact time.

Also, it had been observed that some of the vertebrae in the Neanderthals had not been fused like the modern humans. For the modern human children, the fusion had taken place by the 5th or the 6th years.

Also, the cranium showed that the cranium in the Neanderthals would be more protracted. For the adult Neanderthal brain, the cranium was 87.5% of that of the adult Neanderthal as compared to the 95% of the adult size in humans.

Neanderthals had been shorter in height as compared to early modern humans. Neanderthal brain had a raised larynx. In Neanderthals, there would be asymmetrical humerus, along with thick bones with barrel chest. There were also thicker meta carpels. Neanderthals were also more strong than modern humans.

Scientists have been making discoveries regarding inheritance, and how that information is expressed, for almost 200 years now. Please pick 10 key individuals that have made major contributions to our understanding of the genetic basis of inheritance, and write a short summary connecting these contributions. Once you have your 10 individuals in mind, focus on how the process of science involves building on the discoveries of others

Select two cultural factors (e.g., environment, socioeconomic, biological, and family) that you believe have the greatest influence on intelligence. Explain the factors and your reasoning. For the two cultures that you researched, explain each culture’s definition of intelligence and identify similarities and differences in how the cultures view intelligence. Based on what you learned this week, create a personal definition of intelligence that includes your concept of “common knowledge.” Explain the influences that helped you arrive at this definition.
