Given this channel (face-to-face), what are some of the problems that can occur with sending your message (think of technology you might use to present)? What types of noise around the receiver(s) might impact delivery of the message (discuss external and internal noises that might occur)? What can the speaker do to help the audience better receive the message?
To start with, Any given channel of communication will have a sender sending messages and the receiver receiving the same via a channel. In the due process, the strength of communication depends on how the content is delivered by sender and received or decoded by receiver.
In a face-to-face communication, it can be One-one or One-many depending whether it is interaction or presentation, lecturing and the like.
Some of the problems occuring in F2F (Face to face) communication are given below:
Noise that impact delivery of message may be internal factors like Physiological (State of mind of the speaker, Defensive approach or Prejudices of speaker) and external ( Noise coming from interaction among audience, Lack of focus or attention of audience, Background noise or music etc.)
The speaker can make use of sophisticated speaker systems to amplify the message that is to delivered. While presenting face to face or Via Videoconferencing, the speaker has to make use of non-verbal cues like body language or eye contact, whichever he thinks might engage the attention of audience towards him. Also, he can use projectors and highlight pens to mark important points while delivering lectures.
This way, by use of technology, we can amplify the message from sender to avoid any channel distortion. Hence, the encoded message could directly be delivered to the receiver and it depends on the decoding ability of receiver to enable perfect communication.
