An s orbital and a p orbital can overlap to make a sigma bond as follows:
The two in-phase lobes overlap and there is symmetry about the internuclear axis.
For each type of bonding below, select one p orbital (any of your choosing) and one d orbital (again, any one you feel appropriate). You can (and probably need to!) select different orbitals for each example. Identify each orbital (by name), make sure to mark the phase of each lobe (+ or -) where appropriate, and be clear about the overlap.
