What is the leading coefficient of the polynomial function f(x) = 2x+x³+4?

What is the leading coefficient of the polynomial function f(x) = 2x+x³+4?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Given function -> 2x+x³+4

We know leading coefficient of the polynomial is the numerical coefficient of the term with the highest degree.

So as given function has x³ wgich has the highest degree = 3 and it has coefficient 1.

Hence,the leading coefficient of the given polynomial function 2x+x³+4 is 1

The leading coefficient of given function is 1.
