Obesity is a major problem faced today.It is main cause of serious health conditions in children and adults.nutrition can help in preventing obesity by following a proper diet.Children as they grow require plenty of exercise as they need to fight the sedentary life style they lead.Children resort to video games and use of computers which prevents them from outdoor activities and leading a sedentary life style. This increases the risk of obesity leading to health conditions.The concept of good health should be inculcated in children , good health does not necessarily mean only food habits,but discipline in day to day living. We require 8 hours of sleep for our body to restore all the system in our body to maintain a balance in our body.Parents can prepare a nutrition chart for the child,as in include all the important nutrients required for a child in its growth.Include more fruits and vegetables,no processed food.Children often eat junk food that adds up more fat in their body which leads to raised cholestrol levels at a younger age .As they go grow it can lead to cardiovascular problems ,diabetes and liver dysfunction.The habits that chilldren form at an early age tends to carry on as they grow into an adult.Parents should encourage the child to play more outdoor games,and improve nutrition by including more proteins and vitamins required for the bodily development of the child.sleep pattern discipline as going to bed early and awakening early to enhance proper brain function and mood regulation.Yoga and meditation can be encouraged in chilldren to promote wellness of body and mind.
