Why does a doctor serve as the patient’s “agent,” making choices about which hospital and what medicine to use? Are they biased in their decisions? Are rising malpractice insurance premiums a major cause of higher doctor bills and some doctors leaving their professions?
Because the doctors are well familiar to the disease related to their patient hence they are bound to suggest to their patient one of the best hospital and medicine as well keeping thier into mind their economic conditions.
Biasedness of the decision of doctor depends upon the character of the doctor if he is nice person he will never cheat to his patient but if he is doing business instead of serving their nation then his decision may be biased.
Yes it may be case as well.
