In the given videos, there has been an experiment carried out to check if vandalism carried out by children, has effects on people in broad daylight and of the effect would be different if the actors carrying out vandalism are blacks or whites. If it were me, I would have called 911, irrespective of the fact that the people doing so were whites or blacks. It doeent really matter. What matters is that something wrong was being done and that had to be stopped. Though I would not have approached them, as being alone the situation could have become bad. What was shocking that came out in this video, is that even after some black people just laying down in a car, or sleeping, people had called 911, whereas at the same time, there were three children who were vandalising the car, with people just ignoring them and one of the women even joking with them.
It is important that in such situations people should realise that it is wrong to behave in ways that encourage inequality. What people term as racism and inequality, still exists in a number of passive ways, though they are not present in active forms. People claim that they would have reacted in the same way be it whites or blacks, there was a woman who actually claimed that these people are present in our backyard.
I believe, there was a huge difference when racial profiling was done. Citizens were seen to become more active in becoming ideal citizens, and stopping crime and injustice in public, when the colour of the offenders changed. The rage could be seen on their faces with black offenders and joke, sarcasm and ignorance was seen when the colour was opposite. Yes, people do care about the colour of people, and such study hold more importance when they try to create an impact on the society.
