What are the difficulties, the likes, and dislikes of an interview of a variety of ages, ethnicities, races, and genders?
Questions are:
1) Age
2) Race
3) Ethnicity
4) Gender
5) Where the subject grew up
6) What is “old” to you? How do you know when you are old?
7) How do you feel about old people? Why?
8) Name two different ways that you were brought up that you think are different from most other people. For example, you may say you were raised on a farm, or your father was in the military.
9) Were you part of social, religious, or other types of group growing up?
10) Who were your role models when you were growing up? How did they influence you?
1.Age
The difficulties of interviews when it comes to interview variety of age groups are level of knowledge and experience, younger candidates with new technical skills but older candidates having experience but may lack new technical skills in practice. The likes can be the interviewer having the ability and knowledge to interview different age groups .The dislike can be the greater variation in the salary in accordance to age and experience .
2.Race
The main difficulties here is the risk for abusing or making one down if the questions or twisted to be asked. This can make the candidates think in multiple ways regarding an organization .The likes here can be the introduction of multicultural team in workplace .The dislike here is the task in engaging to make them mingle with other colleagues in the workplace ,chance of discrimination
3.Ethnicity
Difficulties :getting them culturally competent with multiple area
Like:multicultural workplace can be experienced
Dislike:Chance of segregating on the grounds of cultural ,regional ,nativity ,etc., background
4.Genders
Difficulties :maintaining equality on the quantity of care
Likes: non differentiation of an individual on-the basis of gender whether they are male , female or transgender
Dislikes: cannot give certain heavy workers which has to be done by male and not female ,vice versa.
