what are some of the observations of hospital practices, behaviours attitudes and motivation
Hospital practices:
There are variations in the frequency, type, recordings of observations. This issue needs to be addressed if scoring system are to be implemented.
Behaviours attitude:
Attitudes can be difficult to observe, but may manifest in
‘behaviours’: the things that nurses do and say. Stories on Patient
Opinion did not tend to differentiate well between attitudes and
behaviours, and instead focused on how specific nurse behaviours
affected patients’
experience of care.
Motivation:
Before nurses can tackle patient motivation, they must first understand that some patients are extremely motivated from the get-go. These patients have high intrinsic motivation, recognize the importance of improving their own health, and can target efforts toward that specific goal.
