PMO stands for Project Management Office. The role of this PMO is to provide directions where the Organization would develop their Management skills. It plays a very essential role in projects from a strategic level. it is a kind of framework for the Project Managers.
Following are the methodologies adopted to set up a new PMO in a company
Agile Methodology- it focuses on the final end in any process. It is best for the projects which require speed and flexibility. It includes responding to make changes over following the plan. It includes the individuals and interactions, working software instead of comprehensive documents.
Scrum methodology- This methodology is to improve communication, speed, development and also teamwork. It is led by subject matter experts who try to make effective collaborations.
Kanban Methodology- focuses on the principles and processes in order to increase efficiency. It plays an essential role in visualizing the workflow and evaluating the work approach in order to deliver better quality.
Lean methodology tends to deliver more by eliminating waste. It basically focuses on cutting out the waste to increase efficiency.
In order to remove the bottleneck which may limit the scope of the project, one should follow these steps.
-Make a team which involves everybody like supplier, consultants, etc.
- Decide communication methods- like web-based platforms should be adopted so that there is no communication gap.
-Agreement to the outcome collectively by including the proper success measurement.
- Agree to the process by considering the expected timeline.
- Make decision-related to the roles and responsibilities and delegate the authority.
- Make a look at finances and external things.
- Match the outcome with planning and actual performance.
