Arthritis - Arthritis is pain, swelling or stiffness in joints of the body. It is not one disease, there are various types of arthritis and related conditions. Around 51 million adults and 400000 children have same kind of arthritis in America. Arthritis is very common in women's and often it occurs as person get old. There are may arthritis which can make it difficult to climb stairs and inability to do daily activities. Arthritis can be treated by surgery, medication, exercise and therapies.
Medigap insurance - It is an insurance policy in which extra insurance is given by private companies when original healthcare doesn't not provide the cost or expenditure like: - co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles etc. Medigap policy cover single person. If husband and wife wants to take benefits of this policy they have to take separate policy. This medigap policy can be purchased from any insurance which has legal license to do so. Medi gap policy is different from Medicare Advantage plan.
Aging in place - Aging in place means the ability or choice of any person to live as per his/her choice where they want to live as he/she get old. To live a happy and peaceful life person makes plan in their earliest years of working and they work accordingly to live beautiful life when they will retire from job. When people get old they are not able to do daily activities so in order to make their life easy they plan everything in advance and spend happy life by aging in place.
Multidimensional functional assessment - Multidimensional functional assessment (MFA) is a clinical approach that measures various components of well-being rather than any single dimension. It is useful for the research of older adults, who often have functional problems that are manifested in multiple interrelated areas. The dimensions that are identified may be different but most often include functional capacity [activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)], mental health, physical health, social functioning, and economic functioning. Somewhat less often, extra dimensions are identified that may include family support or social help, housing or environmental problem, and service use.
