The competency of nursing informatics specialists was determined through studying different categories including computer skills,informatics knowledge and informatics skills.It can be helpful in learning all the different techniques that can be implemented in the growth of quality and helps in giving a positive patient outcomes.Computer skills competencies and training should be given and also retrieving patient demographics data,the use of telecommunication devices,the documentation of patient care,the use of information technologies for improving nursing care and also the use of networks and computer technology safety.Selected informatics knowledge competencies are the recognition of the use or importance of nursing data for improving practice and the recognition of the fact that the computer can only facilitate nursing care and also helps in ethical decisions in computing.Positive patient outcomes will be of more importance as the nurses not only help them in treating and medication but also can explain them how to use the IT health systems.The clinicians ,patients and the nurses have their involvement in the design,selection,implementation and evaluation of systems in healthcare.
