Expert Solution

To put them simple: Geographical location, Economy and Political stability.

London has been long regarded a great financial center of the world and it rose to that fame after being greatly benefitted from two aspects simultaenously: Industrial revolution & Globalisation. It has rose to power by building the trade gaps between the Americas and Asia during the development of the concept of globalisation, thus taking the advantage of being a middleman. Simultaneously in the process, it has been promoting its own interests benefitting from the industrial revolution. And for that very reason, location and economy are important. Any new financial center should be able to bridge the opportunity deficiencies in the whole of europe and for that reason, it must be in fairly everyone's reach. It is not specially required to mention that the host country must have a flexible and strong economy to wither the temporary economic swings thereby paving way for long term development. Apart from the above two, the host's political scenario, its power and its influence in maintaining an overall good momentum within the country and with its neighbours is critical for the long term financial prosperity of everyone concerned as the saying goes "Businesses are happy when the people are happy".
