The illegal trade of buying organs on the black market following the ethical principles of an ethical egoist?
Should the medical institutions obtain organs from non-humans following the ethical principles of the rules of a rule utilitarian?
The ethical principles of an ethical egoism means morally right action is the one that produces the most favorable good over evil for oneself. It is mainly focused on self-interest. So all the actions done is base on the self-interest. The buying of organs on the black market by a patient who needs the organ transplantation is base on the self-interest. Self safeness is given more priority by transplanting the organ without seeing that it is legal or illegal. The buy of organs on the black market is illegal but morally the action are taken by the patient base on self-interest or self need. It does not mean that the person encourage the illegal trade of organ in the black market.
Principles of rule utilitarianism means that we should find out what are the behavior or actions which leads to total happiness of the people and turn it into a set of rules to follow. This moral rules should be followed by every person for the good consequences. According to the rule utilitarianism, rules means rules everyone have to follow it. Any medical institute cannot directly obtained the organ and transplant to the human being. This is not acceptable in the society and impracticable. So this cannot be perform under rule utilitarianism.
