Where did the idea of employee health insurance come from? Do you think the U.S. would take the same approach to health insurance if this concept was being proposed today?

After the introduction of payment system in hospitals after providing the treatment, many healthcare service organisations also were born to provide better services to the public at low costs. The employees who work at physical risk at some factories and the employees who work in big organisations started asking their employers to pay for their medical expenses as they are also responsible for their health condition. Gradually each and every organisation was pressurised by the unions present inside to provide proper health benefits to the employees which gave rise to the employers searching for an option where the health of their employees can be taken care of at decent prices. Hence this gave rise to health insurance policies . This has now become a common practise in every organisation and many new policies are being introduced based on the situation and factilities available today.

In today's situation the US would have provided much advanced idea of health insurance inorder to match the technology and facilities and would have given much better solution to this concept of health insurance.
