Cognitive is studied extensively in the theory of congnitive development. The psychologists who gave special importance to this had created the cognitionist group. Its founder is considered to be the Swiss psychologist  Jean Piaget. Jean Piaget gave the theory of congnitive development in psychology. According to which the learner learns with the environment and surrounding by using his consciousness.

The main parts of Jean Piaget's theory of stages of development are as follows:

1) Sattification: When the knowledge of a new object or fact comes together with the old knowledge of the child, then it is called as Sattification. The infant or learner understands things on the basis of the direct experience of his senses.

2) Establishing adjustment and balance: With the mental growth of the child or learner new ideas arise which he/ she adjusts to the circumstances. In the process of assimilation he learns to adjust with new ideas. In this whole process, his intellectual development is strengthened, which is called equilibration.

3) Creation and discovery: As babies grow, they try new behaviours and activities that they haven't done before, such as a 2 year old setting up his toy each time in a different order to try to discover it trend is detected.

According to Jean Piaget which the learner learns with the environment and surrounding by using his consciousness.
