Expert Solution

Concept of 1840s, highlights the freedom enjoyed by people in terms of revolutionary ideas and human rights inherited in the constitution of the USA with its focus to promote private property rights in the economy. These exceptionals or exclusivity, made the USA to be a unique and exceptional country in that time period. Today, there are different nations, economies and culture that promote freedom and innovation and civil rights. So, the aura of exceptionalism is now limited for the USA. But, it is still a country with many firsts and a place for people to realize their dream.
As a first country, the USA is the top promoter of innovations, advancements and creativity, reflected by the largest number of patents being registered in the USA. It is the country that selects a black president, even the country has majority of the white population. The country still boasts the civil rights and freedom of orientation given to the people of the country. Besides, the USA plays an important role in resolving global issues. Though, some issues remain due to the suspicious military interventions, racial cases against the black and other minority communities and other civil rights issues. Recent development towards the America first policy also does not help the cause. So, in today’s context, the USA is exceptional in a limited extent.
