A. Cerebral palsy is a neurological motor disability problem .This is often diagnosed during childhood in less than 2 years of age. The child will exhibit problem related to neurological status and movement disorder. This has no cure but early diagnosis can help to manage the symptoms much effectively.

B. The nurse should assess for the following things

Subjective data

• Patient if mentally sound atleast in a mild form can report the problem like difficulty to mobilise ,swallow,etc.,

Objective data

• Inability to walk ,sit
• Flaccid muscle or stiffness
• Tremor
• Drooling can be observed
• Child inability to speak
• Change in body posture

C. The nursing interventions for this patient are

• Communication should be established in a therapeutic way
• Provide safe environment to prevent from accidental fall
• Encourage to engage on passive exercise to improve motor functioning
• Provide psychological support to family
• Provide patient support to improve confidence ,cognitive thinking ,to build self esteem, engage in social activities

D. Abuse of children by parents or others is purely because of anger, frustration ,inability to handle the crying child ,lack of knowledge .

This diagnosis can be overlooked in the initial assessment by physical problems related to gastrointestinal disturbances leading to nauseous and vomiting.
