Recall bias is a type of information bias where systematic error is occurs due to respondants inability to recall the past events accurately. It is a problem in studies that uses subjective data or self reporting. Example: case control study and retrospective cohort study. It is a big threat to the internal validity of the study. It is also known as reporting bias or responders bias.
