The Multistate Learning collaborative:
It includes the State and Local Health Departments in improving the quality practices. It was supported by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Almost, 16 states have participated in Quality Improvement practices. The goal is to increase the immunization rates and adult exercises. It has three phases and about 171 Qi projects were established.
These all states have participated in Public health accreditation and follow the quality improvement practices. Around 156 mini-collaboratives (quality improvement team) working together for quality improvement practices on selected target areas and on other public health issues. The MLC motivate to improve the standards of health practices.
New Hampshire is the leading state in the MLC (3). It is one of the states participated in MLC-3. MLC-3 works with other stakeholders for the National accreditation. By implementing QI practices, New Hampshire has improved the public health and community health services. It also developed a web-based performance evaluation. The positive outcomes of MLC-3 are the reduction of childhood obesity and engaged in the tobacco cessation among the pregnant women of New Hampshire.
North Carolina is another state participated in the MLC. The State that received a $449,590 to implement the Quality practices. The positive outcome of the state by implementing QI practices is the decreases the vaccine-preventable diseases, and reduce the illness of tobacco and alcohol use. It improves the quality of public health services and programs. It works towards the accreditation of local and public health agencies and to build healthier communities. The next step is to improve the best practices through teaching.
The MLC continues to improve the knowledge, partnership, practice and policy. It also promotes the infrastructure of public health Department and achieving of all health Department for the National accreditation.
