Infectious diseases are the disorders caused by microorganism such as bacteria, fungus, viruses, parasites or fungi. The diseases can be spread, directly or indirectly. Diseases can be spread between humans in the  working place. Occupational infections are human disease caused by work-associated exposure to microbial agents such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasite.

Infectious disease are having major threat to human beings. These infectious disease are some having morbidity and some having mortality. For eg, the recent spread of Corona is an infectious disease and having mortality problem also. Some other infection like hepatitis are very much contagious and not having immediate threat to life, but has morbidity.

Infectious disease spread between humans occur by various means, some infectious disease are spread via occupation , likely, hospital job, doctors, nurses, hospital cadre.,are at high risk of getting an infectious disease like hepatitis B, C, HIV infection, skin infections, upper respiratory infections. While handling with patients or while deeling with needles, dressing materials. There is more chance of getting the infected agents into the body of these staffs.To prevent these infectious diseases proper care including use of all protective materials including gloves, mask, gown shoes, are necessory and use of prophylaxis by chance if known infective agent got enterd the body.

Those who are working as sexual workers are also threat to get more infectious diseases, sexual transmitted diseases like gonorrhoea, syphilis, herpes simplex infections. HIV, clamydiasis, candidiasis, giardiasis. These workers are also threat to the society by transmitting to other users, because of stigma associated with the diagnosis and treatment of these sexual transmitted infections.The best way to prevent transmission of these diseases includes safe sex eduation, use of protective meassures condom. Early diagnosis and treatment including the partners.

Some of these infectious diseases are clinically showing symptoms, some are not showing any symptoms (carrier), This carriers causes more risk to the society. This carriers can be find out by using appropriate screaning and implement early diagnosis and treatments.
