Do some research and find five (5) animals belonging to phylum Chordata that interest you and then learn some interesting facts about those animals. For each animal, you pick, write a short paragraph (30-50 words) about what you learned and include a photograph and/or a drawing of the animal.

Chordata is a familiar phylum that includes organisms like mammals, fish, birds, reptiles , and amphibins (all vertebrates). All chordates have a notochord, a dorsal nerve cord, and pharyngeal slits at some point in their development.
Example of mammals - humans, dolphin, kangaroo and other warm blood animals.
Dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals and are part of the family of toothed whales that includes orcas and pilot whales. They are found worldwide, mostly in shallow seas of the continental shelves, and are carnivores, mostly eating fish and squid. The Killer Whale (also known as Orca) is actually a type of dolphin. Bottlenose dolphins are the most common and well known type of dolphin.
Example of fish - Buffalo Fish, Butterfish, Betta fish, gold fish, iridescent shark, Trident shark, jack Dempsey, Oscar, african dwarf frog, parrot fish, piranha.
Sharks are a group of elasmobranch fish characterized by a cartilaginous skeleton, five to seven gill slits on the sides of the head, and pectoral fins that are not fused to the head. Modern sharks are classified within the clade Selachimorpha and are the sister group to the rays. Sharks don't have any bones and their bodies are made up entirely of cartilage - similar to the stuff human ears and noses are made from. It's strong and flexible, which allows the sharks to turn quickly when chasing prey.
Example of birds- Crow. Peacock. Dove. Sparrow. Goose. Ostrich. Pigeon. Turkey.
The unique Mediterranean climate and beautiful nature of turkey allows almost 6 months of summertime in southern parts. The sandy beaches are splendid and the sea, especially the Aegean coastline, is the most amazing. It is a mildly cold sea that allows for a refreshing experience.
Example of reptiles - Komodo dragon.Black mamba.Saltwater crocodile.King cobra.Gila monster.Cottonmouth (viper)American alligator.Leatherback sea turtle.
King Cobra is one of the most dangerous snakes in the world. The Fangs of king cobra can inject as much as 7 milliliters of venom almost enough to fill 1.5 teaspoons into its victim. It's venom targets the central nervous system, eventually leading to kidney, heart and lung failure.
Example of amphibins - frogs, toads, salamanders, newts, and caecilians
A frog is any member of a diverse and largely carnivorous group of short-bodied, tailless amphibians composing the order Anura. The oldest fossil "proto-frog" appeared in the early Triassic of Madagascar, but molecular clock dating suggests their origins may extend further back to the Permian, 265 million years ago.
