Beta agonists are commonly prescribed to patients with breathing problems.
How would they work in the lungs?
How would they impact the eyes, heart, liver, GI tract?
What would those effects be and would they be considered side effects or desired effects?

1. Beta agonists are commonly prescribed to patients with breathing problems.
Beta agonists are most commonly used for patients with asthma, as it reduces bronchospasm.
2. How would they work in the lungs?
The Beta agonists are sulphate conjugates, protein binding derivatives which have various sequences of actions that would lead to relief in the bronchoconstriction.
These drugs as seen above would cause the calcium cycling to take positively and potassium transport and protein turnover to take place and then this would lead to increased brain levodopa along with reduced brain alfa synuclein, further it increases peripheral immune modulation causing anti-shivering property as well as causing relief from any antigen - antibody response. It also causes broncho-dialation and increased muscle tone including diuresis.
3. How would they impact the eyes, heart, liver, GI tract?
Impact of beta agonists on the
Eyes – avian colour vision affect
Heart – cardiac chronotrophy and ionotrophy
Liver – hepatic glucose production and release
GI tract – helps in protein synthesis and protein breakdown
4. What would those effects be and would they be considered side effects or desired effects?
Some of the effects were desired effects like hepatic, gastro intestinal effects, where as heart and eyes were considered side effects.
