examine the effects of pharmacologic treatments on clients across the lifespan( using the elderly and children) How does meloxicam 15mg affect them, and who has a high risk of overdose between the elderly and children.
Meloxicam: It is nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is an oral tablet mostly used for the treatment of inflammation and pain caused by juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Mobic only prescribed during the first 6 months of pregnancy. The usage of this did not recommend during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to possible harm to a fetus. Meloxicam drug interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. If you use this medicine long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.

Usual Adult Dose:
Initial dose: 7.5 mg orally once daily
Maintenance dose: 7.5 mg orally once daily
Maximum dose: 15 mg orally daily
Usual Pediatric Dose:
Greater than or equal to 2 years: 0.125 mg/kg orally once
daily
Maximum dose: 7.5 mg orally daily
Common meloxicam side effects may include:
Diarrhea, constipation, gas;
Cold symptoms, flu symptoms.
Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, and heart burn;
Dizziness
Overdose: Any high amount of meloxicam can cause serious symptoms.
Overdose Symptoms: the first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild; extreme drowsiness, trouble breathing, severe stomach pain, slow/shallow breathing, vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
