What is meant by interest? Write a short note on interest.
Aptitude
Aptitude is a psychological concept. Attitude is related to attention to a fact, object or response .People usually take interest as entertainment. It is not necessary that the thing in which we are taking interest should be entertainment . For example, if a learner is taking interest in solving maths, it does not mean that he is being entertained by it.
Expressed interest: It refers to an interest whose immediate consciousness resides in the person or child and can be easily expressed when asked. When asked by the teacher, if a child tells that he is interested in mathematics or history, then it is called expressed interest.
Manifested interest: It refers to an interest that a person to an interest that a person has out of his own interest. If a child does cooking work in his spare time, then this tendency is called his manifest interest.
Tested aptitude: It refers to such an aptitude the knowledge of which is based on the achievements of the child . If after checking the achievements score of a child is seen the highest in history, then it means that his interest is more in history.
Exploratory aptitude: Such aptitude, whose information is based on standard search is called exploratory aptitude.
Interest is a major psycho-socio-cultural process of life.
