  1. The Incredible Hulk is a SuperHero that has a long and “incredible” history. While he is part of the Marvel Universe and appears in Disney movies, the rights to the Incredible Hulk character are actually owned by Universal Studios. Universal wants to estimate, with 90% confidence the proportion of each Marvel movie that the Hulk is present for.

a.Interpret the 90% confidence level in the context of this situation.

b.Universal took a simple random sample of 60 movies in which the Hulk appeared and found that he was present during an average of 45% of the movies. Check the conditions needed to construct a 90% confidence interval.

c.Universal Studios created the 90% confidence interval for the proportion of Disney movies that the Hulk appeared and found the interval to be 0.45.10564. Interpret the interval in context.

d.In order to keep the Hulk in the Avenger movies, Disney agreed to pay Universal for the rights to allow the Hulk to appear in movies, but for no more than 40% of the run time of the entire movie. If the Hulk character appears for more than 40% of the movie, Disney will have to pay Universal an additional fee. Based on the interval you calculated in part c, is there evidence to support the notion that the Hulk is appearing in more than 40% of the movie? Justify your answer.
