4. PATHOLOGY OF MYASTHENIA
GRAVIS:-
-In this disease the immune system produces antibodies that attack
one type of receptor on the muscle side of the neuromuscular
junction the receptors that respond to the neurotransmitter
acetylcholine.
- Due to destruction of these Ach receptors communication between
the nerve cell and the muscle is disrupted.
- Symptoms include-
Muscle weakness
Ptosis
Early fatigue.
