How is a cancerous cell different from a normal cell?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Following are the main difference between cancer cell and normal cell:-

1)   Cancer cell are irregular in shape but normal cell is regular
2)   Genetic material make larger nucleus in cancer cell as compare to the normal cell in which nucleus is proportional to the cell size.
3)   Cancerous cell give uncontrol growth while growth of normal cell is under control
4)   Cancerous cell are immortal they doesn’t mature but normal cell dies.
5)   Cancerous cell does not require oxygen but oxygen is must for normal cell
6)   Cancer cell give no response to the external signal as given by normal cell.
7)   There are no repair system for cancerous cell but normal cell have repair system.
8)   Cancer cell donor communicate with other cell for restriction of growth as done by the normal cell, they only fill space.
9)   Cancer cell are not detected by our immune system even after damage however normal are cleaned up after damage.
10)   Cancer cell develop its own specialised vascular system for blood called angiogenesis normal cell not do this.
