ADVANTAGES OF THE TOLL ROAD:

• In most countries toll projects will be built faster than other projects that are financed through other user taxes.
• Its main advantage is that it enables the raising of more money for road construction than would be possible through ordinary public financing.
• Such facilities also have been found to provide better quality maintenance than comparable free facilities.
• Also, toll roads can be used as a method of congestion pricing, encouraging users to make more efficient route choices or use alternative transportation modes.

DISADVANTAGE OF THE TOLL ROAD:

• The drawbacks of toll financing include the extra expenses of toll collection, the interest cost of borrowing funds, and the traffic distortions caused by such roads

• It is more appropriate for short distances as road transport is cheaper and speedier.

DISADVANTAGES:

• Because of road congestion or even breakdown of vehicle, services may get delayed.
• Various agencies don't charge uniform rates. Their rates are differ.
• Road transport proves to be costly for carrying heavy and bulky goods over long distance because of high cost of fuel and limited carrying capacity of motor trucks.
• Proper protection against loss or damage is not there and risks cannot be insured easily.

• First important thing is choice road to be constructed depends upon find availability. More fund means public road while less fund ask private company to construct road.
• Public roads are governed by public body ..like state legislature where as toll road are limiting road.
• Tolls road maintenance are of high quality,safe and secure with good durability.
• While in public road government is responsible for road construction. maintenance  is very low and less safe.
• In case of public road the source of income is only road tax while in case of toll road it is from road as well as toll tax.
