1.Medicare and medicaid and different in several aspects and funded by different parts of the government.Medicare is not dependent on income while medicaid depends.
2.Medicare is the health insurance for the people 65 and older,and for people with certain disabilities.The four parts of medicare benefits are -
Part A and part B are often called original medicare-It gives coverage for inpatient hospital care,Hospice and home health services,Doctor and clinical lab services,Surgical fees and supplies etc.
Part C is often called medicare advantage plans-It gives coverage for getting part A and part B.
Part D is called prescription drug coverage_it is a stand alone plan or it may combined with medicare advantage plan.
3.Medicaid provides health coverage for some low income people,families and children,pregnant women,the elderly and people with disabilities.Medicaid is a program created by the federal government to provide payment for medical services for low income citizens.
