The corona virus (covid-19) pandemic has affected all economic activities in both developed and
developing economies. From a labour economics perspective, explain and analyze the implications of this pandemic on ANY labour market of your choice. not less than 1500 words

COVID -19 is the great diaster of this era.This pandemic has affected the developed and developing countries especially the economic status world wide.Because our countries are inter related if the covid-19 has affect the labour economic status of one country it affects all the countries in the same way and in the same propotion.

When we consider the labour market it is best to consider the health care field.It is often says that health care system has a pivotal role in this covid-19 pandemic.It is absolutely true.But there are certain things which we can see if we look deep into it.

First and foremost we can just go through the working hours of the health care workers especially the nurses.It is widely seen in many hospitals that the working hour of the nurses has doubled,like if they were working for 6 hours in a day they are forced to work for 12 hours for 14 days.This is mainly due to the need of keeping the staff in 14 days quarenteen after the scheduled duty.In one side it is good as it helps us to isoltae the cases of contamination without affecting the healthcare system.But there is another fact that these health care personnels are working after wearing the PPE and they are not able to meet their daily needs like food and even their elimination patterns are disturbed.This happens not because of anything the PPE they use is costly and there will be shortage of these items if we use it lavishly.

Second thing what we can see is the reduction in the remuneration of the hospital personnels.This happens because of the covid -19 pandemic the people are scared to come to hospital with any diseases thinking that the hospitals are full of patients with cobid-19 and they may get it from the hospital.Also there is gross a reduction in the number of people being consulted by a doctor due to the social distancing which is unavoidable in this pandemic.It takes long time for a patient to reach the doctor after obtaining op card also there is limitation kept by the board of doctors and the opd timings.In all these ways the hospital incomes gets reduced and the remuneration gets affected.This is mainly happens in the private sector.

The other very sad and disappointing thig is ,many of the health care providers who is staying in rented accomodations lost their accomodation facility due to the fear of the house owner by thinking whether the health care worker is affected with covid -19 or not.On the top of many strugglings when they lost the shelter it made nonhealing injury to many people especially those who work away from their own native place.And it led many people to commit suicide even.

Another remarkable thing happened due to the covid -19 pandemic is that so many health care workers lost their job opprtunity.This affected the individuals in whloe the way especially the economic status.Therefore their standard of living has come down.Due to this pandemic there is no way for the people to find a new job as all the fields are facing same issue.  

To conclude the health care market is the inevitable field in this covid -19 pandemic and the people in this field is suffering so much.It is mandatory to change this situation in the health care field for its better working condition and to provide better health care service to the public and to over come this pandemic.
