Design a more effective deterrence program for white-collar criminals. What needs to be done that is not being done at present?

white collar criminals are likely to get away with a crime than the poor criminals.The white-collar crimes come as a result of greed and self-enrichment while the poor people commit as a result of desperation hunger and addiction.

The white collar criminals are always afraid of the conditions of the sentencing institutions than the length of the sentence.This is a weak point that should be taken advantage of this instead of sentencing them in special prisons for the executives, they should be given short sentences and committed to maximum sentencing institutions.This will act as a deterrence mechanism as they will dread to commit the offenses again.

In order to create a deterrent for these types of crime, it is advisable to have mandatory minimum incarceration sentence of 20 years as proposed by many scholars.

What needs to be done that is not being done at the present time?

• Prosecuting those rich people equally as poor people
• Minimum mandatory incarceration sentence
• prosecuting managers just as employees
• Installation of CCTV  cameras in all officers and surrounding of a company
• Increasing penalties
