Transfusion with wrong blood type can cause severe reaction and that may be life threatening. Mostly transfusion with wrong blood type likely to have problems from immune sysyem reactions. The recipient antibodies attacks new blood cells.
If an A positive blood receives B positive blood, he or she may develop severe shortness of breath, maculopapular rash and sudden drop of blood pressure .because the recipient immune system will produce antibodies against the donor antigen. (people with A blood create antibody against B antigen.) The maculopapular rash is developed by the autoimmune response. (the bodys immube system responds and develop maculopapular rash)
Also the patient will feel shortness of breath this may happen due to immune reaction .immune reaction will take place and that may attack the persons lungs .this reaults trouble in breathing and other symptoms.
Low blood pressure results because of inadequate blood flow. Which will cause inadequate delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the heart, brain, kidneys and other organs
