1)Transport -
There are two major types of cell transport: passive transport and active transport.
Passive transport requires no energy. It occurs when substances move from areas of higher to lower concentration. Types of passive transport include simple diffusion, osmosis, and facilitated diffusion.
Active transport is the movement of dissolved molecules into or out of a cell through the cell membrane, from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration. The particles move against the concentration gradient , using energy (ATP).
2)Division - 2 types.
MITOSIS is a fundamental process for life. During mitosis, a cell duplicates all of its contents, including its chromosomes, and splits to form two identical daughter cells.
MEIOSIS is the process of chromosomal reduction which allows the production of haploid germ cells necessary for sexual reproduction. Meiosis is furthermore important for its role in enabling genetic diversity and facilitating the repair of genetic defects through recombination.
3)Energy production - cell use their mitochondria to generate ATP through a process called cell respiration. Respiration that uses oxygen is called aerobic respiration while oxygen-less respiration is called anaerobic respiration.
4 )Waste removal - Cells have to recycle compartments called organelles when they become old and worn out. For this task, they rely on an organelle called the lysosome, which works like a cellular stomach. Containing acid and several types of digestive enzymes, lysosomes digest unwanted organelles in a process termed autophagy. The multipurpose lysosome also processes proteins and bacteria.
