HORMONE THERAPY:-(HT)

(b) RISKS:-
- Risk of breast cancer.
- Risk of stroke
- Risk of venous thromboembolism and pulmonary embolism.
- Risk of endometrial cancer
- Risk of ovarian cancer
(c) PATIENT APPROPRIATE FOR HT:-
- Female who have hot flashes or other menopausal symptoms
- Have lost bone mass.
- having premature menopause (stopping of periods before age
40)
- having osteoporosis
- having cardiovascular disease
- having depression
(d) PATIENT INAPPROPRIATE FOR HT:-
- woman having previous history of-
breast cancer
ovarian cancer
endometrial cancer
stroke, liver disease
unexplained vaginal bleeding
are not suitable for hormone therapy.
