Post I is your initial conclusion based on the data obtained in your experiment. It should be written in complete sentences.
*Upload a picture of your experimental setup. The picture must include a piece of paper with your name and the date. (Instructions on how to do this is shown on the Lab Discussions page.) Not having the correct pictures will result in a zero grade.
*Post the Force-Mass graph from the Gravity Force Lab.
*Describe the relationship between mass and the
force of gravity. Specifically, how does YOUR GRAPH support your
description? NOTE: Be very careful about bringing the acceleration
due to gravity into your discussion as your data is being taken on
objects that are not accelerating!
*Write an equation for the line on the graph.
Explain what this equation means. What is the physical meaning of
the slope? What are the labels? What is significant about the
y-intercept? Don't forget to change the "x" and "y"
variables and to label your slope!
*Explain (using your equation) how you could determine the force of
gravity acting on an object.
