How is the practice of advertising changing?
With changing era the practices of advertising has also changed. Evolution in technology, industries, production techniques, telecommunication, social platforms, etc., have made things much easier for us in recent times. Consumers have also evolved with time. Advertising is all about reaching to the right people at the right time. Earlier the advertisers valued the quantity provided to the customers and modern marketing. Creation of internet and many other types of communication techniques have made things much more convenient than the earlier times.
In recent times the advertisers have realized that main thing to be focused on is the quality and not quantity. They have now started targeting a large number of people or large communities for the promotion of their commodity, as they have realized that concentrating on every single person is not more effective. In the era of mobile phones, where the people’s half of the world is concentrated on their cell phones, it is better to influence them or promote the commodity on online platforms and reaching out to many people at the same time is much more productive and convenient for advertising the product.
The new era of advertising is all about creating right content, with right quality and providing better understanding of the context so that its easier for the customer to choose the product over any of the competitors. Its been a while in the advertising sector that the companies concentrate on what actually the consumers want and not only what the producers want to produce. They have now realised that the production depends on the needs of the customers. Strongly depicting the commodity in front of the customers and influence them to buy the product is the main motive and the only thing which has not changed with change in time.
