Most of the religions do not believe
in contraception and they would not allow contraception , if
strictly followed. It wasn’t allowed, since it was believed that
acts of love have to be for the purpose of creation.
- In Roman Catholics contraception
had been banned, since se-x did not create anything. In
protestianism as well, birth control is not correct.
- According to Hinduism, birth
control is allowed. Rather, abortion would be incorrect, sin, but a
formal ban doesn’t exist on birth control.
- In Islam, their holy book has not
made any clear remarks about birth control, but there are
statements that promote se-x leading to procreation.
- Buddhism says that a life should
not be killed and thus if contraception is preventing conception,
it would be allowed.
- According to most of these
religions, risky se-xual activities is not allowed, except for
hinduis, where se-x is considered as a method to attain pleasure,
hence activities that do not consist of inter-course are
allowed.
