Discuss how indigenous people in the United States compare with those in Venezuela, in terms of how oppressed or prosperous they are, how much they've blended into the mainstream culture, how economically successful or impoverished they are, and their cultural contributions.
Native Americans comprised the American Indians; the US has 574 legally recognized tribes that also trace their relations with Indian reservations. Currently, the Native Americans include more than five million, with 78% of them residing outside reservations. The indigenous people of Venezuela comprise Amerindians and Native Venezuelans; these form 2% of Venezuela's total population (De la Torre & Carlos, 35). Similarly, with the US's earliest inhabitants, Venezuela rapidly increased in population and dominated their nations. Again, the tribes faced disputes that resulted from new visitors to their lands.
In 1522, Venezuela Spain colonization, and the inhabitants got into a war to resist Spain's attempts to impose new administration. Similarly, Indians early inhabitants faced disputes during the European colonization, which began in 1492; these wars resulted in massive deaths (Mudde, Cas, and Cristóbal, 157). The wars proved the extent of oppression from colonizing nations. However, the early inhabitants significantly shaped their countries' cultures; they were also economically stable since they utilized natural resources and focused on developing infrastructure to alleviate trade forums.
