a) 4 of the 9 c's of caring are =

i. Compassion = the nurse has to provide kind and considered treatment at all time. This will give the client a good and satisfied experience. In community settings the nurse has to provide patient centered and family centered care.

Example : In a family of a community a aged person is suffering from seasonal cough and cold. The community nurse arrive there and after introducing herself the nurse examination the client. The she call all the family members and explain the present condition of the client properly. Next she tell the patient to take the influenza vaccine before the starting of winter season and provide some antibiotic medicine to the client.

ii. Competence = The nurse has to be professional in her work please. By maintaining time, rappot, proper fulfilling daily tasks she should maintain professionality.

Example : A community nurse has to arrive in time at the community health center and a regular home visiting has to done. In community she has to know each and every family and the members and a rapport has to form with them but not to much involve innthere personal issues.

iii. Confidence = The nurse has to be knowledgeable in her practical skills, procedures, education, prioritise various conditions.

Example : In a family of a community there is a child of 5 yrs. suffering from diarrhoea, a pregnant mother with anemia, a aged person with hypertension taking anti-hypertensive drug are present. The nurse has to prioritise the conditions at first by her knowledge and experience and the clients basic priority need. Like as the 5 yr. child with diarrhoea has to give 1st priority, then the pregnent mother and the aged person with hypertension at last to treat. Then she provide ORS solution and Zn tablet to the child with diarrhoea and provide a health talk on personal hygiene and sanitation, proper hand washing procedure has to demonstrate. Then the pregnent mother has to provide Iron tablets. Then the aged person has to take vital signs and provide a DASH diet plan.

iv. Commitment = Nurses has to dedicate themselves by putting into patient care and there overall improvement.

Example : A nurse has to empathetic with the family members. She has to provide information about various government and non-government Health facilities available for them and the process to access the facilities. She has to support the family members during the crisis situation.
