Choose an automotive company and explain how it should market differently to millennials, generation X, and baby boomers.
For Ford Motor Company to be successful at marketing to all three demographics Gen Y, Gen X and the baby boomers they need to focus on different things throughout their advertising.
To appeal to Gen Yer’s they should focus on marketing to the diversity of the group, ensuring that all parts of the generation feel attracted by the advertisement. They should also put a good deal of technology into their products, since Gen Yer’s grew up with technology all around them they expect it in the automobiles they purchase.
For the Gen Xer’s they should focus on their families and how safe their vehicles are, as well as how fuel efficient their cars are. This generation is still raising children and these are their main concerns. It would also be smart to make sure their marketing includes a focus on the featrues that entertain children, like televisions.
The baby boomers are now focusing on themselves rather than their children, so to market to them Ford should target their need to start fresh and new lives. Focus on the exciting things you could do with their new products and the places you can go.
