Question number -1 gullian barre syndrome
answer - it is an autoimmune disease in which the peripheral nerves nerve roots are damaged by the immune system antibodies and lymphocytes.
Assessment of patient with gullian barre syndrome- 1) the patient may experience abnormal sensation like tingling, formulations or pain . So assess the sensation of the patient is very important. Symptoms usually start with upper and lower extremity.
2) assess the patient jerky uncoordinated movements
3) assessment of muscle weakness and bilateral paralysis
4) asesss numbness
5) check the patent vision
6) check the breathing status of patient
7) assess the heart rate and blood pressure .
8) check the urine output and bowel status
The main thing to do the patient with gullian barre syndrome is assess the sensation of patient. Because it’s starting from upper and lower extremities then it affect full body cause paralysis of patents. And breathing status maintenance is also very important. Because sudden breathing shock may occur.
Question number-2 - Trauma Patient care
1) frequent and prompt respiratory assessment , and give adequate oxygen
2) place the patient in semi Fowler position
3) administer high flow oxygen.
4) administer fluids to the paternity by iv line
5) remove clothing to assess the injury
6) cover sucking chest wound
7) stabilize flail rib segment
After that arrange the ventilator for intubation and call the doctor . Because an airway is immediately established with oxygen support in some case, intubation and ventilator support. And maintain fluid volume and negative intraplural pressure and draining intraplueral fluids and bloods are essential.
