1 There are many possible reasons for children developing obesity .Two contributing factors related to childhood obesity are hereditary and unhealthy eating patterns.

2The Nutrition and weight status objectives for Healthy people 2020 supports the benefits of eating a healthy diet and at the sametime maintain healthy body weight. it is a ten year objective to improve health and well being of Americans.The three ways in which nurses could intervene to promote nutrition and weight status objectives are by helping the people to make healthy choices,increasing public awareness by giving health education about the importance of taking a healthy diet.it is also necessary to assess childrens growth and development.

3 These objectives are important , because it lays emphasize on efforts to change diet and weight should see to the individual bahaviours and also focus on policies which supports the behaviour in all settings.

4 Obesity is a term applied to people who are more than two times their ideal body weight.Patients with obesity are at higher risk for health complications such as diabetes,hypertension,gallbladder disease,osteoarthritis,sleep apnea and other breathing problems.They suffer from depression ,low self esteem and impaired body image.Depression and lifestyle changes are the two major contributing factor to weight gain.
