Hurricane is something which humans cannot control but we can try to minimise the after effects of it. Since it is a natural disaster it will for sure affect person in all areas mentally, socially and psychologically. Biologically we can say that after such disaster person can suffer from many diseases and also there will be the loss of life or lifelong injuries like permanent damage of somebody part etc. Socially, person, many times lost everyone they know, the place where the individual has grown, the people, family all now just become memories in the brain. Eventually, families have to move and settle at different places where they might find it difficult to adjust and last psychologically person can develop many disorders among which most common is PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). So here we can say that after hurricane person can develop illness since all the three areas of biopsychosocial model are disturbed as we can see that a hurricane is affecting person in all 3 dimensions that are -mentally by giving stress and anxiety to person, physically by giving some illness or damage to body and socially since most of the times after such disaster person has to move and settle in different places where they have to adapt according to social conditions.
