Solutions

Expert Solution

1) Evergreen are plants that maintain their leaves in all seasons and include pine, cedar, and mango trees.

Evergreen is a plant that has leaves throughout the year and always green. There are many different kinds of evergreen plants, both trees, and shrubs. Evergreens include most conifers species (like pine, hemlock, blue spruce, red cedar) and mango.

2) Deciduous trees lose their leaves seasonally and include trees such as maple and elm.

Deciduous trees are trees that drop their leaves for part of the year. They are found in temperate and tropical climates all over the world. Deciduous trees have broad flat leaves that catch a lot of light and need a great amount of water.

3) Hardwoods reproduce using flowers and have broad leaves, such as mango, elm, and maple.

Hardwoods are produced by angiosperm trees, which reproduce by flowers, and have broad leaves. Many species are deciduous. Those of temperate regions lose their leaves every autumn as temperatures fall and are dormant in the winter. Still, those of tropical regions may shed their leaves in response to seasonal or sporadic periods of deficiency.

4) Conifer leaves are generally thin and needle-like, while seeds are contained in cones. Conifers include pine and cedar.

Conifers are Gymnosperms. They are cone-bearing seed plants with vascular tissue; all living conifers are woody plants.
